Robert “Bob” Paul Kralick passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on August 15, 2025.
Bob was the devoted husband of Kathleen. Cherished son of Paul and Mary Kralick. Proud father of Kevin Kralick and Kimberly Kralick. Adored grandfather of Reese Kralick. Dear brother of Ronald (Mary) Kralick and the late Richard Kralick.
For over 38 years, Bob dedicated his career to teaching middle school math in Queens, where he inspired countless students with patience, encouragement, and wisdom. Beyond the classroom, his life was defined by a deep love for his family, friends, and sports.
Bob’s passion for sports, particularly basketball, was lifelong—whether playing in his younger years, quietly cheering from the sidelines, or enjoying decades of games, vacations, and laughter with “the crowd” from Queens. Later in life, he found joy on the golf course and treasured his time as a soccer dad and coach for his children. He loved the beach, photography, gardening, tinkering on his cars, and traveling with Kathleen, especially to Turks and Caicos, a place they visited more than 20 times together.
A quiet man, Bob preferred to stay behind the camera, capturing moments rather than being the focus of them. He loved the music of the ’50s and ’60s, particularly Elvis and the Eagles, and never missed a single sporting event for his children.
Bob will be remembered as a teacher, coach, mentor, and friend who believed in the growth of his family, friends, and in his garden. Those who knew him will remember his strength, gentle presence, and the unwavering love he showed to his family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a memorial visitation on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM at Whitting Funeral Home. A Memorial Mass will be held for Bob on Friday, August 22, at 11 AM at St. Mary’s Church Hall in Roslyn – 440 Round Hill Road, Roslyn Heights.
He will be deeply missed, remembered not only as a teacher, coach, mentor, and friend, but also as a developer—not just of numbers and equations, but of life itself.
Donations in Bob’s name can be made to ALS United Greater New York.
