Robert Grella

Robert Anthony Grella, 75, of Sea Cliff, New York, passed away peacefully at home on February 24, 2026, at 203 Sea Cliff Avenue. A well-attended burial ceremony was held at Roslyn Cemetery on Thursday, March 5, at 11 a.m. A celebration of life (picnic) will be forthcoming this summer 2026. Born and raised in Manhasset, New York, on May 14, 1950, Robert (“Bobby”) graduated from St. John’s University with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He began working in the restaurant business and found a home at the Jolly Fisherman and Steakhouse in Roslyn, New York, for over 40 years. Bobby was interested in politics. He enjoyed growing tomatoes, Coors Light and fast cars.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. He is survived by his domestic partner, Danielle Viteretti.

Bobby will be remembered for his kindness and generosity. His laughter and wisdom were gifts to everyone who knew him.

His favorite charities were the Wounded Warrior Project and Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association.
