Raymond Valentine Curiale

Raymond, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, at Sunrise of Glen Cove after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on February 14, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York, Raymond's life was a testament to love, service, and community. Raymond's journey began Brooklyn, where he was born and raised. His life was marked by dedication and selflessness, first reflected in his military service. From 1955 to 1963, Raymond served with honor in the US Army, where he cultivated a deep sense of duty and resilience that would define his life's work. In 1957, Raymond joined the ranks of the FDNY as a firefighter at Engine 55 in Little Italy, a role he held with pride and commitment until 1968. Serving as a firefighter, Raymond displayed immense bravery and compassion, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the community he served. He later transitioned to a career as a Loss Control Agent with Atlantic Mutual Insurance, where he continued to safeguard others with his expertise and care.

On September 15, 1962, Raymond married the love of his life, Louise DeLucia. Together, they built a nurturing and loving home, blessed with three wonderful children: Antoni, Louise, and Gia. Raymond's devotion to his family was unwavering, and he found immense joy in their achievements and happiness.

A man of great generosity, Raymond dedicated his time to volunteering at the Henry Viscardi School in Searingtown, New York, where he made a lasting impact on the lives of many. He was also a cherished Little League coach, inspiring young athletes with his encouragement and sportsmanship.Raymond was a passionate sports fan, finding great delight in cheering for the Brooklyn Dodgers, New York Yankees, and the New York Football Giants. His enthusiasm for his teams was infectious, and he loved sharing this passion with his family and friends.

Raymond is survived by his beloved wife, Louise Rita, and their children Antoni, Louise, and Gia. His legacy of love, courage, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. In honor of Raymond's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held. 

The family suggests that donations in Raymond's memory be made to organizations close to his heart, reflecting his lifetime of service and community spirit. Raymond's life was a beacon of hope and love, and his spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him. While he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the cherished stories and fond memories shared by his family and friends.
