Sea Cliff

Patricia F. Pearsall Smith of Sea Cliff passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on November 27th, 2025.

Born in Roslyn Estates, she graduated from Roslyn High School and Centenary College before attending Columbia University. Patricia began her career with the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis, spending three years in Texas during the polio epidemic. After returning home, she married Robert Pearsall, later earned her nursing degree from Stony Brook University, and worked at Glen Cove Hospital as both a physical therapist and a nurse.

Patricia and Robert raised their son, Glenn, in Glenwood Landing. Following Robert’s passing, she later married Calvin Smith. After the loss of both Calvin and her son, she moved to Sea Cliff, where she was an active member of the Good of the Village Association (GVA) and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her niece Patricia (James), her great-nephew Steven (Jennifer), her great-grandniece Adelina, and her four stepchildren: David, Margaret, Beth, and Mary.

Patricia will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and lifelong commitment to family and community.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Special Olympics or St. Jude Children's Hospital in Patricia's honor.
