Nohemy Cruz, a beloved mother, daughter, and sister, passed away peacefully at home in Bayville on October 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 39. Nohemy spent her life striving to bring joy and creativity to those around her.
Her entrepreneurial spirit was matched only by her passion for life, which she expressed through the art of making crystal bracelets for her family and friends. Each piece she created was a reflection of her love and a testament to her belief in the beauty of connection.
Nohemy cherished the simple pleasures in life. She found peace in nature, joy in dancing, and comfort in cooking for her loved ones. An avid reader and a devoted journal keeper, she captured her thoughts and dreams, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and introspection.
Nohemy is survived by her cherished daughter, Adriana; her devoted siblings, Jose, Cristina, Jennifer, and Isaac; loving aunt of Joseph and Liam; and her loving parents, Leonardo and Marcelina Cruz, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. Though Nohemy is no longer with us, her vibrant spirit, creativity, and love will continue to shine through the memories we share. May we remember her with joy, reflecting on the beauty she brought into our lives.”

“Moms for Moms”
Moms for Moms' mission is to empower single mothers by providing critical postpartum and newborn essentials to lessen the stress that comes with living in poverty.
Our goal is to deliver postpartum and newborn essentials that have a
true impact on the lives of the mothers we serve.
Many women enter motherhood surrounded with support, they have baby showers and community, and postpartum groups. They transition into this vulnerable new identity with a safety net intact and their material needs met. But in NYC alone, there are over 15,000 single mothers who enter this vulnerable stage of their life without any of these supports. Moms for Moms is there in THAT moment, with a care package that meets their urgent needs as well as connections to resources that will support them on their motherhood journey.
