Nancy Margaret Nicholson

Nancy Margaret Nicholson died peacefully at the South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore Long Island on August 25th, 2026. Nancy was the beloved daughter of Edward and Margaret Hausch and sister to her brother Edward Hausch. A graduate of Hofstra University (1960) she married Robert J. Pucciariello and moved to Sea Cliff in 1966 where they sailed a two-masted yawl named the Scottish Mist. Nancy was the devoted mother of Robert and Alexander Pucciariello and a loving grandmother to Jake Pucciariello. Nancy served as the head librarian at North Shore High School in Glen Head for 34 years. A prolific reader throughout her life, Nancy found great pleasure in literature. She shared her appreciation for books and learning with generations of students and colleagues. She was also an active member of the United Methodist Church in Sea Cliff, New York. Nancy will be remembered for her life of learning and service. Her memory will live on in her sons, her grandson, and all those whose lives she touched. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29th at the United Methodist Church in Sea Cliff at 11:00 AM.
