It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Cleo Pappas, beloved mother, and cherished friend, who left us on March 3, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on May 19, 1931, in Stamford, Connecticut, Mary touched the lives of many through her unwavering kindness and vibrant spirit.

Mary had a distinguished career as a Key Punch Operator at Lundi Electronics in Glen Head, New York, where her hard work and dedication contributed to the burgeoning field of computers. Her colleagues admired her for her professionalism and warm personality, and those who worked alongside her often spoke of her willingness to lend a helping hand and share a story.

Mary is survived by her loving son, Emmanuel Pappas, and her devoted daughter, Demetria Marino. She faced life’s challenges with grace, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever reside in the hearts of her family and friends.In celebration of Mary’s life, a public viewing will be held on March 7, 2026, at 10:15 AM at Whitting Funeral Home.

This will be followed by a funeral service at Holy Resurrection Greek Orthodox Church at 1:00 PM, where family, friends, and community members can come together to honor the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Mary will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery on March 9, 2026, at 10:30 AM, where her loved ones can pay their final respects.As we remember Mary Cleo Pappas, let us carry forward her spirit of compassion, resilience, and love.
