Margaret Rose Johansen (1930-2025)

In her 95th year, Our Beautiful Mother peacefully left us earthside in her home surrounded by the love of her cherished family.

Family was everything to her.

Heaven received an incredible Angel.

She created quite the Legacy!

She was preceded in death by husband, Anker; survived by children: Craig (Donna), Linda (Bobby), Karen (Peter), Peggy (Mark); grandchildren: Kelley (Rustan), Mark (Stephanie), Erika (Matt), Anker (Stephanie), Natalie and Bridget; great-grandchildren: Sansa, Robbie, Cher, Jackson, Vance, Wyatt, and 1 on the way! 

To Margaret, each day was a new adventure consisting of friends and family, oftentimes both.   Each moment was as bright as she was, frequently filled with music, laughter, and sunshine even on rainy days. 

Visitation: Monday, August 11th, 3-8PM at Whitting Funeral Home 300 Glen Cove Avenue, Glen Head, NY 11545.

Mass: Tuesday, August 12th, 2025 @9:30 AM, at St. Gertrude's Church in Bayville, NY.
