Jo Ann Giardina

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Jo Ann Giardina (née Genovese). Born in the Bronx, New York, on July 30, 1942, Jo Ann passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Giardina; cherished mother of Jacqueline Morra (née Giardina) and the late Julie Esposito (née Giardina); and loving mother-in-law to Pietro Morra and Paul Esposito. She was a doting grandmother to Monica, Sonia, Michael, and James, who were the light of her life. Jo Ann was the daughter of the late Albert Genovese and Violet Genovese (née Borsellino), and the beloved sister of the late Felix Genovese, the late Dolores Wynn (née Genovese), and the late Janet Genovese.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, from 4:00–7:30 PM at Whitting Funeral Home, 300 Glen Cove Ave, Glen Head, NY.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 30, at 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Rocco, 18 3rd St, Glen Cove, NY, followed by interment at Saint Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY.
