Elizabeth Ann Smirti

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elizabeth “Betsy” Smirti, a devoted mother, grandmother, and woman of steadfast faith, who went home to be with the Lord on November 4, 2025.

Born November 25, 1954, Betsy lived her life rooted in love and the unshakable belief in God’s promises. She was the guiding light to her three children - Adam, Carolyn and Christopher - whom she raised with grace and unwavering love. Her beautiful grandchildren were undoubtedly the joys of her life.

Though she will be deeply missed, loved ones take comfort in knowing she is resting in the eternal and peaceful embrace of the Lord our Savior. “Do not grieve like people who have no hope” 1 Thessalonians 4:13

A celebration of Betsy’s life will be held at 10 am on Saturday, November 22 at Shelter Rock Church, 178 Cold Spring Rd, Syosset, NY 11791. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shelter Rock Church in Betsy’s memory: https://shelterrockchurch.com/
