Edward Joseph Eder

Edward Joseph Eder, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, veteran, and friend, passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 81.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Ed was the cherished son of the late Irene and Joseph Eder and loving brother of Geraldine “Gigi.” He was a graduate of Chaminade High School, Villanova University, and Fordham University, where he earned his master’s degree in Political Science. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

Ed was the president of Plastic Packaging and a respected leader known for his dedication, integrity, and kindness. But his greatest pride was his family.

He shared 56 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Nancy. Together, they raised their three daughters in Glen Head, Leslie (Adam), Lindsay, and Stephanie (Joe), and were blessed with five grandchildren, Alec, Devyn, Macaela, Natalie, and Willow.

Affectionately known as “Pop,” Ed adored his grandchildren and treasured every moment with them. His love, warmth, and devotion to his family will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.
