Debora Smith

October 27, 1974 — August 2, 2025

Debora Lynn Smith, known to most as Debbie, and aunt DD was born to Joan Ann and Kenneth Schneider in Philadelphia, PA. on October 27, 1974 and passed away on August 2nd 2025 in her home in Sea Cliff, NY.

Her mother, Joan Ann went into labor at the homecoming football game of University of Pennsylvania. They remained at the game to see Pennsylvania win against Princeton University. Debbie and her family loved returning to Penn to watch the homecoming football game every year. By the age of 3 she could sing the U of P Alma mater.

Debbie graduated CW Post with a degree in Special Education in 2001 and received her Master's Degree in 2003. She devotedly taught children from 2001 until the present.

Debbie married the love of her life, Joshua Smith on June 10th, 2006 on Sanibel Island in Florida. There was no place that Debbie loved to be more than the beach.

On July 29, 2008 Debbie gave birth to her son Kaiden. Every moment she spent with Kaiden was a blessing to her. Debbie, Josh, and Kaiden loved camping together, going to the beach together, or just vegging out together at home. She had a passion for cooking and hosting family. Nothing was more important than family and loving on her nieces and nephews. Any spare moment to see a concert or listen to live music was her happy time.

She was a devoted loving sister to Lori, and an adoring Aunt to Penelope, Felix, Phoebe, Gaven and Loren.

She loved and was loved by her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The void that Debbie's passing leaves in our hearts will never be filled.
